Chaitra Navratri signifies the beginning of the Hindu New Year and is dedicated to the worship of the nine forms of Goddess Durga. Devotees observe nine days of fasting, prayer, and rituals for spiritual purification and blessings. Temples are decorated with lights and flowers, and cultural programs like bhajans and katha sessions are held. Special havans and aartis are conducted daily to invoke divine energy. The festival culminates on Ram Navami, celebrating the birth of Lord Rama. Devotees often perform kanya pujan, offering gifts and food to young girls symbolizing the Goddess. It is believed that sincere prayers during this time grant peace, prosperity, and protection from evil forces.
